The Key Story
What a $368,573 Dividend Portfolio Paid Me This Month: Passive Income August 2026
▶️ Watch Full Video Here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=umKACII5vSs
At the start of 2026, my dividend portfolio stood at $291,794. Just eight months later, it has grown to $368,000+! August delivered $2,364 in passive income. My largest dividend month in history.
Top August Dividends Received:
Hess Midstream (HESM): Paid out $2,009. Yields ~7.84% forward with a 9.36% 5-year CAGR, quarterly dividend hikes, and reports on a 1099-DIV (no K-1).
MPLX LP (MPLX): Paid out $355. Yields 7.2% with double-digit dividend growth (most recent raise was 12.5%). Management targets continued 12.5% annual raises.
Portfolio Snapshot & Projections:
Account Value: ~$368,000 across 7 concentrated holdings (MSFT, HESM, GOOGL, NVDA, MO, MPLX, XOM).
Out-of-Pocket Invested: $194,000 (88% true return on initial capital).
Expected Annual Dividend Income: $12,800/year (~$1,066/month average).
The Snowball Forecast: Reinvesting dividends and contributing $2,000/month projects this account to hit $1,000,000 by 2033 and $19.9 million by Year 30 ($33,000/month in passive income).
AVGO Stock Analysis
Broadcom Stock is a Buy: I Was Wrong
📊 Research AVGO: DividendData.com/stocks/avgo
▶️ Watch Full Video Here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AhxflAv2I-U
I sold Broadcom (AVGO) in mid-2024 after a quick 189% gain. While profits are great, cutting a winner turned out to be a key mistake—that position would be worth $41,500 today (6.3x gain).
Post-Earnings Takeaways:
Blowout Numbers: Q3 revenue jumped 86% YoY to $29.59B, EPS rose 96% to $3.32, and AI semiconductor revenue rocketed 221% YoY.
Powering Custom AI Chips: Broadcom designs custom AI accelerators (XPUs) for major tech giants, including Google's 8th-gen TPU and OpenAI’s new inference chip, Jalapeño.
Growth Outlook: Management guided for $58B in FY2026 AI revenue, $115B for FY2027, and targets $230B by FY2028.
While I prefer holding Nvidia (NVDA) directly as the pure-play AI leader, selling Broadcom today looks like a mistake for existing holders as fundamental growth outpaces valuation expansion.
DELL Stock Analysis

Dell (DELL) crushed earnings, surging double-digits on the day as AI server demand completely transforms the business.
Post-Earnings Takeaways:
Unprecedented Growth: Q2 revenue jumped 58% YoY to $46.97B, while adjusted EPS rocketed 203% YoY to $1.74 (a 43% analyst beat).
Massive AI Demand: Dell booked $60.9B in AI server orders in just 90 days, bringing their total AI server backlog to $95B.
Upgraded Guidance: Raised full-year revenue guidance by $25B, signaling 70% revenue growth for the coming year.
Dividend Growth Potential: Dell raised its quarterly dividend by 20% recently and pledged 10%+ annual dividend growth through fiscal 2030.
Dell acts as the crucial integrator building out AI factories for enterprise clients and companies like SpaceX/xAI. As Nvidia grows, Dell delivers.
